Someone just emailed this to me:
If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.
With Enron, you would have had $16.50.
With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.
But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of Beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had
$214.00.
Based on the above, current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Yes, spribs.
And I dunno what they are either :)
Last week I went to my local pizzeria with a friend, and the owner (who has the hots for me, I think) told us that he was thinking of adding spribs to the menu.
Me: Could you say that again?
Him: Spribs.
Me: Excuse me?
Him: Spribs. You like spribs?
Me: Um...
Him: I make best spribs in town. You like, I know. Tell you what, I give you spribs for free. You and friend, free spribs. To try. Then if you like, I put on menu, yes?
Me: Oh wow, yes thanks. I LOVE spribs!
Him: OK, you come Tuesday 7 pm sharp-like, you eat my spribs, yes?
Me: Um....
So, in a couple of hours, I'm off to eat his spribs. I hope to god he meant Spare Ribs.Current Mood:  anxious |

A friend of mine just came back from the Eurokaz festival in Zagreb, and she told me about one of the performances that she saw. It's a Spanish group called la fura dels baus, and apparantly their piece "XXX. Adapted from "Philosophy in the Bedroom" by the Marquis de Sade" is even more bizarre than the website. Hardcore porn with audience participation. Weird.

Damn, I love this color-scheme. Now why can't I design sites like this? It's weird. When I see it, I immediately think "ooh, that's yummie!"
But when I try it myself, I end up spending hours in Photoshop fiddling, tweaking, pulling out my hair and finally just deleting the entire christmas tree that it ends up looking like.
